Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli is a soprano opera singer and voice professor. Winner of numerous national and international competitions, she made her debut in Spoleto in the title role of “Manon Lescaut”. Since then, she has collaborated with internationally renowned artists and performed in opera houses in Italy and abroad (Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Stuttgart, Dublin, Munich, Luxembourg). Her repertoire includes the roles of Nedda (“Il Majazo”, Micaela (“Carmen”) and Liù (“Turandot”) as well as a great number of chamber music and concert works by Italian composers of the 18th and 19th centuries. She is mother to mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli and was also her only teacher. She is regularly invited throughout Europe and America to give master classes on vocal technique and interpretation.
